整体而言，中规中矩。剧情基本依据经典戏剧铺陈。融入了“当地特色”——印度的宗教信仰问题。有两个镜头还是值得一提：1.市长的侧脸为前景，医生和报社编辑为背景。政府势力造成的**感很好的体现了出来。市长还悠闲地点了根烟。也营造出一种自鸣得意、胜券在握的感觉。2.结尾处镜头移动到桌上的听诊器和“圣水”，定格，结束。听诊器代表科学的救治，“圣水”代表信仰的“救治”。整部电影的冲突点即来源于此。以此为结束，再一次强化了主题。
